My familiarity and comfort with MLA style is connected to my Master's degree; I spent two years writing research papers in MLA style, and my strong affinity for attention to detail makes me an excellent proofreader.
Above all, I believe learning should be FUN! We have to work hard for what we want, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun in the process. One of my favorite parts about tutoring is working with a student and seeing the lights go on in their eyes when they begin to understand a concept. There are few things more satisfying and exciting than seeing a student begin to grasp concepts on their own, without my help!
I am TEFL certified, and taught ESL for three years. During that time I taught private English lessons to students of all ages and proficiency levels. I am comfortable working with small children, adolescents, and adults. Additionally, I am familiar and comfortable with MLA format work; I spent two years immersed in MLA style work as part of my graduate degree.
My strong background in Spanish language began in middle school. I took AP Spanish language classes in high school, and I received high marks on my AP exams. I have worked with Spanish language and written composition at both the Bachelor and professional. I completed a thesis for my Spanish language major as part of my undergraduate degree and received an award for that work.
Additionally, I use Spanish on a daily basis as part of my professional career! I conduct written reports as well as meetings and conversations in Spanish.
