I was a former D1 student-athlete with a degree in Human Sciences and concentrations in Political Science and Retail Management. While an undergraduate, I was involved in various campus groups and events, including leading the Black Student Athlete Association. There are no limits to being an educated athlete, and most of the hard work is done off the track.
I have mentored college freshmen in life skills and career goals, but also was a track coach for high school and middle school. As a track coach, I led the team to its first three state championships and all-new women's sprint team records. The youth that I coach, I encourage them to invest in their passions and remain dedicated to their sport.
