I graduated summa cum laude from USC where I studied English with an emphasis on creative writing. I then earned my M.Ed from UCLA, where I was a Stone Fellow. I have taught at magnet schools charter schools in Los Angeles. I am currently a National Board Certified Teacher and the chair of the English department at my school.
