I worked closely with students (and their parents) as the 3-time award-winning Covina Christmas Parade float designer and coordinator for Sonrise Christian School in Covina, California. This, among other student and teacher interactions caused me to be awarded the coveted "Friend of Children Presidential Citation," only presented seven times in more than 30 years.
I am actively participating as a 4th grade guest art teacher ("Will the Wolf Survive?") at Carson Street Elementary School. Proud to be participating in this endeavor with class teacher, Eileen Morris, chosen as The City of Carson 2016 Teacher of the Year.
I have always been a very, very involved mother. My daughter graduated from Stanford University and is currently Communications Coordinator for The Oakland A's.
I am fluent in all Adobe Creative Suite programs. I am expert at color pencil and pastel drawing.
