I am currently attending college as a History major. I will likely become a teacher after college, and I love to tutor students in the subjects I possess the most passion for. I have the most knowledge in English, Art, study skills, and History. I love helping people learn, and each individual is unique. There is no right or wrong way to learn; sometimes, it just takes time to discover the appropriate method for each individual. I was tutored as a teenager before taking the SAT. It was a beneficial experience, and I recreated that with my students.
As an avid reader who excels in English courses and particularly literature, I highly enjoy the nuances of English. From the lyrical flowering of an eloquent sentence to the grand depths of literature analysis, I love the language. As a student, I use skills learned from English courses in every other academic course I have taken. I see the value in a student's competency in English studies, and can help them improve.
As a History major in college, I have extensive American and World History knowledge. I am keenly interested in U.S. History, as the experiences of the people before us shaped the reality we live in today. Historians study the cultural, social, political, and economic influences throughout different periods and explore changes over time. And U.S. History allows students to reflect on the past for the betterment of the future.
I hope to hear from students who believe l am an excellent candidate to help boost their learning potential. I do not think perfection is obtainable, but positive development is achievable with practice. As a student, I understand the frustration and disappointment with complex subjects. I have struggled in certain subjects throughout my schooling and know what it takes to improve.
