Trisha is a substitute teacher for The Prentice School, Tustin Unified School District, Orange County School of the Arts, and Huntington Christian School for a combined total of 22 years in K-12 environments. Being a substitute has enhanced her ability to adapt to different subjects, grade levels, and teaching styles, encouraging student participation, providing support, and addressing the needs of the students to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
Through consistent, individualized instruction her goal is for the student to make academic progress while building confidence in themselves as a learner.
Trisha earned a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development at Cal State University, Fullerton and also obtained her teaching credential through Fullerton’s credential program. Due to her love of reading and how important she feels it is to a successful education, she became certified in Orton Gilligham, which is a method to help those with dyslexia and other language-based learning difficulties learn to read and write.
