I have over 14 years of tutoring experience as I have been tutoring a variety of students while I was in school. This includes elementary, junior high, high school, college, and graduate students. I usually tutor students one on one or sometimes in a group setting if it is for the same subject.
My methods are to assess a student's strengths and weaknesses. From there, I develop a study plan that fits a student's academic needs. I go over the concepts the student is struggling in and come up with ways to clarify the concept. I like to test the student's understanding of the concept by giving out practice problems and have them work it out and explain it to me. Once the student understands the subject, I test their ability with a comprehensive exam that allows them to test their knowledge.
