I am an enthusiastic professional with over fifteen years of experience in teaching, long term and day to day substitute teaching, and tutoring as well as an internship in school counseling. I was also one of the teachers who piloted the Open Court Language Arts Curriculum in Compton Unified School district. I was also teacher on Special Assignment while in this district. I have substitute experience in the following school districts: Chino Valley Unified, Corona-Norco Unified, Riverside Unified, Val Verde Unified, and Hardy Brown College Prep Charter School in San Bernardino. My substitute teaching experience covers preschool through 12th grade in almost every subject area, including but not limited to: math, reading, phonics, spelling, English, English Language Development (ELD), English Second Language (ESL), Read 180, Resource Specialist, Various levels of Special Ed, US History, World History, Biology, Anatomy, Earth Science, Physical Science, Music, Performing Arts, and literature.
