I am a credentialed teacher with experience either teaching or tutoring from Kindergarten to adults. Early in my career, I taught many young students how to print, and later when I subbed in all elementary grades, handwriting was included. I always use white boards with colorful markers and erasers for all ages that I currently tutor, so that the writing process is fun and pressure-free. I have access to many online resources and workbooks for this subject.

I am a credentialed teacher of 30 years, and also have a CLAD certificate which qualifies me to teach all areas of ESL, including working on speech to reduce accents. I obtained this by passing all 3 of the CTEL exams, which stand for California Teacher of English Learners. I work with all ages and all areas of language arts, with a more recent emphasis on privately tutoring ESL. I adapt my instruction for speech according to the learning style and interest of each student. I use recordings and repeating methods for my students to practice saying aloud what they hear or reading along with what I record for them. They set the pace and progression according to their goals.
