Hi! I'm Diana, and I've spent the last 18 years helping students become stronger, more confident readers and writers.
I've taught English at the high school, community college, and university levels, and I've learned that most students don't dislike writing. They've just never been taught how to think through it. Whether we're working on an AP English essay, literary analysis, college application essay, or research paper, my goal is the same: help students become independent, confident writers.
My lessons are interactive and personalized. Rather than simply correcting papers, I ask questions, model my thinking, and teach strategies students can use long after our sessions end. I believe students learn best when they understand why something works, not just what to change. I specialize in AP English Language, AP English Literature, college essays, literary analysis, academic writing, reading comprehension, revision, and essay organization.
I hold a Master's degree in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing and American Literature, along with certifications in Expository Reading and Writing Curriculum (ERWC) and Adult Learning Theory. I've taught Composition, College Writing, Critical Reading, Literature, and Fiction to thousands of students.
What you can expect from our first lesson:
*Identify what's holding you back
*Create a plan based on your goals
*Learn practical strategies you can use immediately—not just corrections on one assignment
As both an educator and published author, I believe good writing isn't about sounding smart—it's about thinking clearly and communicating with confidence.
Whether you're preparing for an AP exam, writing a college essay, improving your grades, or building stronger writing skills, I'd love to help you reach your goals.
