I’m Joseph, a recent summa cum laude graduate from CSU Fresno, where I earned my B.S. in Electrical Engineering and minor in Mathematics in 3.5 years on a full-ride Honors scholarship. My background spans both the hands-on (labs, projects, and internships) and analytical sides of engineering. I’m particularly confident in Signals and Systems and the adjacent upper div. topics.
Over the past three years, I’ve worked as a Supplemental Instruction Leader (awarded "Most Resourceful SI Leader" in 2023) and Grader for the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. I led collaborative sessions in C++ and ARM Assembly, graded upper-division courses including Discrete Signals, Advanced Circuits, and Electromagnetics, and tutored NSF scholarship students in calculus and physics. I also coordinated K-12 outreach workshops and mentored a high school capstone engineering team.
My tutoring philosophy centers on intuition, and I’m big on quality over quantity. Build a small set of powerful intuitions you can transfer to unfamiliar questions rather than memorizing steps. Seeing students gain clarity and confidence is the most rewarding part of this work.
