Hi! I have a PhD in Finance and MS in Financial Engineering. As someone who has previously worked as a professor and as an equity researcher, I can tutor in virtually any subject in Finance, plus many areas of mathematics and statistics.

My tutoring approach begins with an assessment of the student's level of comprehension. In addition, I prefer to be told the textbook and topics in advance of every lesson, so that I can prepare. From there, I lead the student through the concepts and then example problems, and if suitable we then can agree a homework set. I had great success with tutoring while working earlier towards my PhD (now completed).

I previously taught Finance at several universities. Courses I've taught include Introduction to Finance, Corporate Finance, Investments, Derivatives, Personal Finance, Financial Modeling, International Finance, and Financial Statements Analysis. As an academic I focused on equity markets anomalies, while as a practitioner I also paid attention to 'softer' issues such as insider trading, informed ownership, and the influence of 'dumb' retail money on prices.

Alongside the tutoring I am happy to share stories from my time in the finance industry of discovering overvalued and undervalued securities, and of my course also my favorite industry story of how I had my former boss thrown into a Middle-Eastern prison for owing me back wages (don't worry, I have never done this to a student!).

Cancellation and no-show policy:
-- Cancellations require notice within 12 hours. I reserve the right to bill 30 minutes for each lesson canceled later than 12 hours prior to appointment time.
-- I reserve the right to bill "no-show" students for the time reserved.
-- ALL prep-work agreed in advance will be billed regardless of no-show or cancellation.
