I specialize in college essay and application coaching, English, history, and test preparation, including SAT Reading & Writing and AP courses such as AP U.S. History, AP English Language, AP English Literature, and AP Human Geography. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to each student's needs, whether they're looking to improve their grades, prepare for an important exam, or challenge themselves academically. My goal isn't just to help students succeed on their next assignment, but rather to help them become more confident and independent learners.
Sessions typically begin with current classwork or homework support and are supplemented with additional materials and exercises designed to strengthen foundational reading, writing, and analytical skills. Each section is one-on-one to maximize engagement and provide individualized support.

I have extensive experience with U.S. History and have had personal success in the class, as well as in tutoring many students to high scores on the AP U.S. History exam. I place an emphasis on writing and historical context so that students can show complexity and depth of thought, especially with concepts and trends that span a large part of our nation's history.

I have guided students toward Top 20 college admissions results through personalized college access and application counseling. I work with students to identify their strengths, clarify their academic and personal goals, and develop cohesive application narratives that authentically reflect who they are. Beyond essay refinement, I support students throughout the admissions process by helping them navigate strategy, positioning, and self-presentation in competitive applicant pools. My goal is to help students approach the college process with confidence, clarity, and a strong sense of direction.

I am an experienced English tutor for students at all levels. I have a deep understanding of rhetoric, contextualization, media literacy, grammar, writing, and SAT English. I have led all of my students to an increase in their grades, test scores, and proficiency in English. I set my students up for success in their current studies and for the learning that is yet to come.
European History

European History

I have tutored 13 students and counting to a 5 on the AP Euro exam. I focus on writing strategy, ensuring that each student is set up to attack the FRQ section with speed and precision. I also make sure to emphasize MCQ strategy so that the each student can answer questions in seconds rather than minutes. AP Euro is all about stamina, as it covers such a wide breadth of topics, so I also emphasize rigorous study and enable each student to succeed of their own volition. Each students take the skills I give them and end up using them throughout the rest of their educational careers.
Geography

Geography

I have successfully tutored many students on their path to both deeper understandings and better course results in political, physical, and cultural geography (including AP Human Geo). I believe that it is a critical subject that can inform students of contexts and trends in other classes like history and English, so I ensure this interdisciplinary connection is understood by my students.
SAT Reading

SAT Reading

I have successfully tutored multiple students to SAT scores of 1500 or higher, with a particular focus on improving reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, and passage efficiency. Because I have taken the SAT recently myself, I also provide students with an up-to-date understanding of the exam’s current format, question styles, and test-taking strategies.

David has a good command of English for the SAT Exam and showed real interest in results for our SonM

David is well organized and I believe helped my son given a very short window of teaching time getting ready for his June 6th SAT. Will get back on this review after the exam.We would be happy with a 50 point improvement. Will know on June 22nd so stay tuned.David was great for our sonnand Will use him again if we dont get the score we need I do believe that one on one tutoring is much better and a faster learning experience than a class room setting.
