I earned my Master of Pacific International Affairs from UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy, where I specialized in International Management with a focus on China. Before that, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in International Development Studies with a minor in Chinese at UCLA. My academic training emphasized research, critical thinking, and communication across cultural contexts, which has deeply informed how I teach and mentor students today.
I have over fifteen years of experience in speech, debate, and communication education. As both an alumnus and previous head assistant coach at Claremont High School’s nationally recognized Speech and Debate team, I have guided students to success at district, state, and national levels. I also run Loud and Clear Academy, a private coaching program where I provide one-on-one and small-group instruction to middle and high school students in events such as Original Oratory, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Informative Speaking. My students learn not only to perform but to think critically, articulate complex ideas, and develop confidence in their voices.
My teaching style blends structure with empathy. I tailor lessons to each student’s goals and learning pace—using guided questioning, real-time feedback, and personalized drills to strengthen content, delivery, and expression. Whether working in person or online, I aim to create a supportive, intellectually engaging space that helps students communicate with clarity and authenticity.
