Hi! I am currently a student at Harvey Mudd College pursuing an engineering major and I previously graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy. From an early age, math has always been my favorite subject and that is mostly due to the incredible teachers I've had along the way. I owe my love of the subject to those mentors and I hope to bring my experiences with their teaching methods and enthusiasm for the subject into my tutoring sessions. I am happy to meet and discuss what lesson plans or formats would work best for each individual student so I can best meet their needs. Sessions can range from a lecture-style format on topics the student is unsure about to a working-style format to go through practice problems together to build comfort with the material.
I have about four years of experience tutoring math subjects including Prealgebra, Algebra 1, and earlier math. I am also open to tutoring any math level from kindergarten through Calculus II including SAT math. I scored a 1580 overall on the SAT with an 800 in the math section and I'd love to help younger students excel in that area as well. As someone who recently took the SAT, I can provide helpful, current insights into the exam and how to score well.
