I have an Associate’s Degree in Psychology and professional experience working with children from infancy through elementary school. I’ve worked as a preschool teacher for two-year-olds and previously cared for infants in a classroom setting, supporting early language, social, and cognitive development. I’m also a nanny for two young girls, and I regularly help them with early reading skills, vocabulary building, and expressive language.

In addition to my classroom experience, I have directly tutored a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old in early literacy. With the 6-year-old, I focused on reading fluency, sight-word recognition, comprehension, and building confidence through fun reading activities. With the 4-year-old, I introduced foundational pre-reading skills such as letter sounds, early phonics, vocabulary through play, and beginner writing practice. Working with two different ages helped me develop a flexible, individualized approach that meets each child exactly where they are developmentally.

My teaching style is gentle, supportive, and interactive. I use hands-on activities, games, repetition, and real-world examples to make learning engaging and accessible. I tailor each session to the child’s age, learning style, and attention span, while ensuring they feel encouraged and proud of their progress.

With several years of experience supporting young learners, both in classroom settings and one-on-one. I’m confident in my ability to help children build strong reading, writing, and vocabulary skills while creating a positive and enjoyable learning environment.
