I hold a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction and have five years of classroom experience, including four years as a Special Education teacher. My background allows me to design and deliver highly individualized lessons that align with each student’s learning profile, interests, and goals. I am well-versed in evidence-based instructional approaches and skilled in creating supportive learning environments that promote both academic growth and confidence.
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten through middle school in both one-on-one and small group settings. My work focuses on developing literacy, writing, and foundational math skills through scaffolded instruction, direct modeling, and guided practice. I utilize assessment data from tools such as DIBELS, i-Ready, CORE Phonics, San Diego Quick and more, to identify areas of need, track progress, and adjust instruction accordingly. This data-driven approach ensures that each lesson targets specific skill gaps while fostering independence and self-efficacy.
My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are and helping them build strategies that make learning accessible and enjoyable. I believe in cultivating a growth mindset and celebrating progress at every level. Whether supporting a student with reading comprehension, writing organization, or math problem-solving, my goal is always to create meaningful learning experiences that translate into classroom success. Families describe my instruction as engaging, structured, and compassionate—qualities that help students feel capable and motivated to reach their full potential.
