I hold a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction and have five years of classroom experience, including four years as a Special Education teacher. My background allows me to design and deliver highly individualized lessons that align with each student’s learning profile, interests, and goals. I am well-versed in evidence-based instructional approaches and skilled in creating supportive learning environments that promote both academic growth and confidence.

Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten through middle school in both one-on-one and small group settings. My work focuses on developing literacy, writing, and foundational math skills through scaffolded instruction, direct modeling, and guided practice. I utilize assessment data from tools such as DIBELS, i-Ready, CORE Phonics, San Diego Quick and more, to identify areas of need, track progress, and adjust instruction accordingly. This data-driven approach ensures that each lesson targets specific skill gaps while fostering independence and self-efficacy.

My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are and helping them build strategies that make learning accessible and enjoyable. I believe in cultivating a growth mindset and celebrating progress at every level. Whether supporting a student with reading comprehension, writing organization, or math problem-solving, my goal is always to create meaningful learning experiences that translate into classroom success. Families describe my instruction as engaging, structured, and compassionate—qualities that help students feel capable and motivated to reach their full potential.

Common Core

Common Core

I have five years of teaching experience and hold a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction. I have worked extensively with the California Common Core State Standards, designing and implementing lessons that promote conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and real-world application across reading, writing, and math. My approach emphasizes scaffolding, data-driven instruction, and differentiation to ensure every student can access rigorous grade-level content. I specialize in breaking down complex California Common Core standards into clear, achievable learning targets that build confidence and long-term academic success.
Executive Functioning

Executive Functioning

I have five years of teaching experience, and I specialize in supporting students who struggle with executive functioning skills such as organization, time management, task initiation, and self-regulation. Through explicit instruction, visual aids, and structured routines, I teach students how to plan effectively, prioritize assignments, and break tasks into manageable steps. My approach emphasizes building self-awareness and independence by helping learners develop personalized strategies they can apply across school and home settings. I strive to equip students with the tools and confidence needed to take ownership of their learning and achieve academic success.
United States History

United States History

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in History and have teaching experience with U.S. History at the middle school level. My lessons emphasize connecting key historical events, figures, and movements to their broader social and cultural impacts, helping students understand how the past shapes the present. I use interactive discussions, primary source analysis, and project-based learning to make history engaging and meaningful for all learners. My goal is to foster critical thinking and a deeper appreciation for the people and events that have defined the United States.
