Since graduating, I have been a private tutor to four students in math, science, and English, with students ranging from middle school to high school. All of my tutoring is one-on-one and tailored to the student's needs and ability to focus. I want students to feel included in the learning process, so I like to ask many questions and see where their mind is. I usually have practice problems based on what the student is currently learning, and I mix in topics they have struggled with.
I tutor two students at the library, one student online, and one at home. I prefer to tutor online, but I am flexible if the parents can communicate effectively. When tutoring in person, I have a portable whiteboard to show examples, and when tutoring online, I use an online whiteboard.
