Hello, I’m Blake. I am a licensed Occupational Therapist in California with a strong foundation in both the biological and social sciences.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Natural Science from Concordia University of Chicago in 2016 and my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from West Coast University Center for Graduate Studies in 2019. During graduate school, I was honored with the Founding Dean’s Award and the Alumni Network Professional Development Scholarship.
My academic training includes evidence-based practice, research methods, anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology, kinesiology, dissection and palpation anatomy, chemistry, and biochemistry. I also completed coursework in sociology, developmental psychology, and abnormal psychology, which are essential to clinical reasoning in healthcare.
Beyond formal education, I completed the Certified Neuro Specialist course through the Neuro Specialist Institute and now help deliver course material to clinicians. I am also a contributing author to a continuing education course focused on instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization.
Teaching has been a consistent part of my professional journey. As an undergraduate lab assistant in two anatomy labs, I helped students develop proficiency in dissection and palpation. In graduate school, I participated in Peer Assisted Learning, supporting classmates in mastering complex material. I have since taught learners at the undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels.
My goal as a tutor is simple: help students build clarity, confidence, and strong clinical reasoning skills. Whether you are preparing for exams, strengthening foundational sciences, or refining clinical application, I am committed to helping you succeed.
