Hi, I’m Zane! I’m a Mechanical Engineering student at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where I’ve consistently earned a place on the Dean’s List every semester. My studies have given me a strong background in mathematics, and through a tutoring program at West Point, I’ve had the opportunity to help my peers succeed in Calculus and other challenging courses. I have experience student teaching in an Algebra I classroom. I specialize in Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus, and I take pride in making math clear, approachable, and even enjoyable. My tutoring style focuses on step-by-step explanations, plenty of practice problems, and connecting concepts to real-world applications. I believe that every student can grow in math with the right support and encouragement. I can tutor math for anyone ages K-12.
As someone who values discipline and persistence, I care deeply about my students’ progress. I make sure to adapt my approach to each student’s needs, whether that means slowing down to review fundamentals, pushing forward with advanced material, or building confidence through guided practice. I welcome questions at any point, and I want my sessions to feel like a space where students can learn without pressure. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to strengthen their problem-solving skills and confidence for the future. If you’re looking for a tutor who is patient, motivated, and dedicated to your success, I’d be glad to help. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a lesson!
