My name is Amanda! I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Legal Studies (Cum Laude) and am currently pursuing a law degree with the goal of becoming an education attorney. I have over eight years of tutoring and teaching experience. I bring a unique blend of academic knowledge and hands-on instructional expertise that I have carefully crafted after teaching in multiple settings—including one-on-one tutoring, private instruction, martial arts, and as a Lead at Kumon—where I oversaw staff, managed early learners (ages 3–6), and supported students of all ages in mathematics and reading. I have taught all ages, as young as three and have also tutored middle and high school students in Common Core subjects. I develop individualized strategies to help each learner succeed, and assist all children (including those with special needs) through patience, adaptability, and positive reinforcement.
My tutoring style is centered on meeting students where they are each day, focusing not only on academic achievement but also on confidence building and fostering independence! I believe that when students feel supported as individuals, they are more motivated, resilient, and successful. Feel free to contact me for more information so that we can better support you and your student!
