I recently graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences after previously earning my Associate’s degree in Biology with honors. Throughout my academic career, I consistently excelled in rigorous STEM coursework while balancing leadership roles and extracurricular commitments. I earned all A grades in my math courses, including Precalculus, Calculus I, and Calculus II, and was placed on the Dean’s Honors List multiple times. I also completed the full General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics series, giving me a strong foundation across science and math subjects. Due to my academic achievements, I received the Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship at UCI for two years and was also awarded a merit-based scholarship to attend Georgetown University for my Master’s program.
Over the years, I have informally tutored many friends and classmates in biology, chemistry, and math courses, helping them prepare for exams, quizzes, and difficult assignments. One thing I consistently hear is that concepts become much easier to understand when I explain them step-by-step in a simpler and more relatable way. I understand that many students struggle not because they are incapable, but because the material is often taught too quickly or in a way that does not match their learning style. Because of this, I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into manageable parts and helping students build confidence instead of relying on memorization alone.
My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and adaptable to each student’s needs. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes because that is often where the best learning happens. Whether a student needs help improving grades, preparing for exams, or strengthening foundational skills, I am committed to creating a positive learning environment where they can succeed academically and feel confident in their abilities.
