Brigham Young University, Provo (Business and German)
Hi Everybody! My name is Grant and I have worked as a Computer Support person for around ten years now, including software training around the world. I am ready to take on more opportunities and share the skills I have developed and knowledge I have acquired in my life. I have worked as a substitute teacher and a tutor for Sylvan Learning Center. I have coached soccer and basketball to all ages of youth for about 10 years. I am fluent in German (earned a Bachelors in it) and received my letter of fluency from an official California State Language Professor. I have my Bachelors degree in Business Management and of course in German and Associates degree in Psychology. I am good at most math and science courses. I am also a high level trumpet player (college instructed) and can also teach the recorder.
I am patient and calm with those I teach. I have taught a five year old how to solve the Rubik's Cube, so I think I can teach almost anything to anyone. If you need someone patient to help you through a rough course, I am the one you want to help you. I have also been researching the latest healthy lifestyle techniques and diet available and have been living the principles myself throughout my life. I can help motivate you or someone you know to become thinner and healthier with the right insight, motivation, advice, monitoring and encouragement.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a life long lover of Basketball and have coached Basketball in the Gridley Recreational Youth Program for about 8 years.
Aside from knowing cursive and standard handwriting, I have learned and practiced calligraphy for over 20 years. Good Handwriting is matter of determination and practice. Teaching how to hold a pen and the strokes is not enough.
I played soccer for my high school varsity team and through out my life at a somewhat competive level and have coached soccer in the Gridley Recreational Youth Program for about 9 years.
I played trumpet throughout elementary, middle school, high school, and two years of instruction in college, competing in state competition, preforming in various bands, ensembles, orchestras, and solo recitals.
