Hi, I’m Eric, an Accounting student at California State University, Chico. I am working toward a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an option in Accounting, and I have completed coursework in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I, Cost Management Accounting, Decision Analysis for Business, and Corporate Technology Integration. I also have certifications in Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg Market Concepts, and Bloomberg Spreadsheet Analysis.
I previously worked as a Peer Tutor through the Antelope Valley College Learning Center from June 2025 to December 2025, where I tutored Financial Accounting students one-on-one, in small groups, and online through Zoom. I helped students with journal entries, T-accounts, adjusting entries, financial statements, the accounting equation, and basic GAAP concepts. During online sessions, I used Zoom Whiteboard to walk through problems step by step and make the process easier to follow.
My tutoring style is patient, clear, and focused on helping students understand the reasoning behind each step instead of just memorizing answers. I like to break accounting problems into smaller parts, connect them back to the accounting equation, and help students identify exactly where they are getting stuck. I can also help with Microsoft Excel, study skills, introductory business coursework, and writing support.
