Spanish Tutor | Communication, Culture & Real-World Spanish

Walter M.

Hi! I’m excited about the opportunity to help you learn Spanish in a way that is practical, engaging, and connected to real life. I have a degree in Communication and a background in journalism, which has given me extensive experience with language, writing, communication, and Spanish at a university level. I have also spent time living in three different Latin American countries and have traveled throughout more than eight countries in Latin America. Because of this, I’ve had the opportunity to experience many different Spanish accents, expressions, cultures, and ways of communicating—not just the Spanish spoken in my home country of Paraguay.

My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and adapted to each student’s individual goals. I have more than a year of experience teaching technology to adults, including students over 60, which taught me the importance of patience, clear explanations, and adapting lessons to different learning styles. I bring that same approach to language learning. Whether you want to develop advanced Spanish skills, improve your conversation, strengthen your grammar, or feel more confident understanding different Spanish accents, we can build our lessons around what you want to achieve.

I also believe that learning Spanish should be more than memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules. Depending on your interests, our lessons can include the history, culture, traditions, and everyday expressions of Latin America, making the language more meaningful and fun to learn. As someone who speaks four languages and genuinely enjoys both learning and teaching languages, I understand the challenges that come with learning a new language—and I’m committed to helping you reach the goals we set together. I would love to be part of your Spanish-learning journey!
