I bring this approach to my tutoring, tailoring my explanations and methods to meet each student's needs.
I have tutoring experience with Kumon North America, where I worked as a Math and Reading Instructor, as well as Head Zoom Instructor. In the center, I collaborated with fellow instructors to develop innovative math and reading comprehension strategies for over 100 elementary, middle, and high school students, documenting weekly progress and designing personalized study plans. As part of the expanded Kumon virtual tutoring initiative, I increased accessibility for both advanced and special needs students.
I have considerable experience as a musician, playing the piano for 14 years. I performed at the annual NFMC (National Federation of Music Clubs) District Festival at Heidelberg University in Tiffin, OH, receiving 13 consecutive "superior" ratings in Piano Solo, Concerto, and Music Theory. Additionally, I was one of six students in Ohio District IV-A to receive the 75-point Chairman's Cup and the 90-point President's Cup for musical excellence.
As an athlete, I was the Varsity Tennis Captain for my high school and a two-time NLL Champion. Additionally, I was an Ohio Tennis Coaches All-District qualifier, Second-Team All-OTCA Northwest Division I, and a starter for our team that made it to the State Elite Eight.
