Bio

Hi! I’m a UCLA student on the pre-med track with a strong background in anatomy & physiology, NREMT, chemistry, and other core science subjects. I currently work in healthcare as an EMT, so I’ve seen how these concepts actually apply in real-life situations, not just in a textbook, which helps me explain things in a way that’s easier to understand and remember.

I’ve worked with students at different levels, from building basic foundations to helping with more detailed topics like body systems, physiology, and exam prep. My teaching style is very step-by-step and focused on understanding, not memorizing. I break things down clearly, use visuals and real-life examples, and make sure everything connects so it actually sticks.

I’m patient, easy to work with, and I adjust how I teach depending on how you learn best. Whether you’re trying to improve your grades, prepare for exams, or just finally understand anatomy and physiology, I’ll help you feel more confident and comfortable with the material.

Approved Subjects

Adobe Lightroom

Adobe Lightroom

I have five years of professional photography experience and have worked on UCLA’s photojournalism team covering a wide range of events and assignments. My experience includes sports photography, portraits, photojournalism, event photography, and editing photos for a polished professional look. I have extensive experience using Adobe Lightroom for color correction, exposure, masking, cropping, organization, and creating consistent editing styles. I can teach you how to use Lightroom efficiently while also helping you understand what actually makes a photo look professional rather than just memorizing where the tools are.
Anatomy

Anatomy

I am a fourth-year UCLA pre-med student with a 3.96 GPA and a strong background in anatomy and the life sciences. I know anatomy can feel overwhelming because there is so much to memorize, so I focus on making structures, functions, and body systems easier to understand and remember. I use simple explanations, diagrams, memory tricks, and practice questions based on how each student learns best. Whether you are struggling with the basics or preparing for an exam, my goal is to help you actually understand the material and feel confident answering questions on your own.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I am a third-year undergraduate student at UCLA on a pre-medical track with a deep foundation in the life sciences. I have successfully completed the General Chemistry (14A and 14B) sequence, maintaining a strong focus on high-level concepts. My expertise includes: • Thermodynamics & Chemical Equilibrium: Mastery of energy changes and reaction balance. • Chemical Kinetics: Understanding reaction rates and mechanisms. • Acid-Base Chemistry: Proficiency in pH calculations and percent ionization. I am passionate about breaking down these difficult subjects into manageable, intuitive steps for high school and early college students to ensure they not only improve their grades but also build genuine confidence in the lab and classroom.
EMT/ NREMT

EMT/ NREMT

I am an NREMT-certified EMT with experience in 911 response, interfacility transport (IFT), and special event medical coverage. I’ve worked in fast-paced environments where quick decision-making, patient assessment, and clear communication are critical. Along with my field experience, I am BLS certified and continuing to grow my experience in emergency medicine as I work toward a healthcare career.
Martial Arts

Martial Arts

I am a competitive wrestler on the UCLA wrestling team and was a CIF placer in high school. In addition to competing, I coach high school wrestlers and help athletes improve their technique, conditioning, and match strategy. I also officiate CIF wrestling competitions, giving me a strong understanding of the rules and scoring from both an athlete's and referee's perspective. My experience allows me to work with wrestlers of all skill levels, from beginners to competitive athletes.
Organic Chemistry

Organic Chemistry

I have a strong background in organic chemistry and understand topics including reaction mechanisms, stereochemistry, acids and bases, substitution and elimination reactions, carbonyl chemistry, and synthesis. I focus on breaking difficult concepts down into simple steps instead of making students memorize everything. I can help students work through practice problems, understand why reactions happen, and prepare for quizzes and exams. My goal is to make organic chemistry feel more manageable and help students become confident solving problems on their own.
Photography

Photography

I have over five years of experience as a freelance photographer, capturing weddings, portraits, sports, and graduation sessions. I am also a member of the UCLA journalism team, where I create photo content for campus events and have built an audience of over 300 followers through my work. My experience includes working with clients in a variety of settings while focusing on composition, lighting, and storytelling. I enjoy helping others improve both their camera skills and photo editing techniques.

great tutor !!

Roger is a great tutor for anatomy and physiology, along with other science subjects. He breaks down concepts in a way that is easy to understand and remember. During our lesson, one of the things we went over was identifying molecules and the functions of plasma membranes, and he explained everything step by step. He also wrote down key points and helpful ways to remember the information, which made the material much easier for me to learn and retain. He is patient, clear, and very helpful, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs help with science courses!
