I have over 2 years of tutoring experience working with elementary, middle, and high school students through a tutoring program at my high school. During this time, I provided one-on-one instruction, creating personalized lesson plans based on each student's current coursework, strengths, and areas for improvement. I met with students for several hours each week and focused on ensuring they understood the material and could confidently apply it to homework, quizzes, and exams.
Ever since I was in high school, I have had a heart for helping students not just memorize material for exams, but truly understand what they are learning. I begin each session by reviewing key concepts in an engaging, approachable way, adapting my explanations based on the student's confidence level and learning style. I then guide students through practice problems step by step before giving them the opportunity to work independently, and I allow time at the end to address any questions or concerns.
