I have a long-standing passion for math and a strong track record of success. I earned the highest math score on my school’s 6th grade state test, won a solo math competition in middle school, and passed the AP Calculus BC exam in high school while maintaining a GPA above 4.0 in AP and honors courses. I went on to earn a B.S. in Mathematics from UC Davis, making the Dean’s List with a 4.0 GPA my first year.

I began tutoring in high school and have worked with students from elementary through university ever since. At UC Davis, I tutored student-athletes one-on-one, led group sessions through a student support program, and served as a TA for a calculus support course. After graduating, I taught Algebra and Geometry at Madera High School, and later worked at Mathnasium, where I tutored students in grades K–12. I’ve also tutored privately throughout my six years as a computer programmer.
My approach focuses on identifying problem areas, guiding students through challenging concepts, and ensuring deep understanding through targeted questioning and practice. I’ve taught in one-on-one, group, and classroom settings, both in person and online. I’m confident in helping students with material from basic arithmetic through calculus.
I’ve lived in the Sacramento area since graduating and plan to continue offering both online and in-person tutoring. I truly enjoy helping students gain confidence in math and look forward to continuing that work as an independent tutor.
