My background: I have an MFA in creative writing and BA in communications, with degrees from Stanford and San Francisco State University. I've coached more than 800 graduate students at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey with papers and theses. Because of this specialized experience, I can offer professional academic writing and citation guidance. I've also tutored in the SF Bay and Monterey Bay Areas, gaining real-world experience from elementary to middle to high school.
In additional to teaching, I've worked for 20+ years in marketing communications, so I'm an expert at cutting out the fluff and getting to the BLUF (bottom line up front). I love helping students write with clarity and concision so their great ideas shine!
I live in Carmel, CA with my 16-yr-old son and golden retriever, Sunshine. I also have a son at UC Berkeley. Go Bears!
