I have many years of experience teaching English in a foreign country. I have worked with students who need to prepare for standardized tests (IELTS, etc.), business people who are preparing for presentations, meetings or telephone conversations, and many who simply enjoy improving their English language skills.

It is fascinating to me to meet new individuals and to help them to define their specific goals and then to offer them the tools to help them achieve these goals. Speaking is an essential element in my lessons. I make every effort to understand a person's interests so that I can select topics that engage the student.

Depending on a student's needs, I also give pointers on best learning approaches. I don't just teach vocabulary. What can you do to learn better?

I have been awarded an International Diploma in English Language Teaching Certificate. I also have a Diploma in Translation (German-English), an MBA (marketing) and a BA in History. It is the experience, however, that I would want to highlight here. I have spent a lot of time talking to my students about their learning practices and have integrated some of these ideas in my own teaching approaches.
