My professional career began in Shanghai, China which was my hometown. I played with Shanghai Symphony and Shanghai Opera. I came to the United States on an USA Government scholarship to USIU 32 years ago to further my music study.
I am a member of the California Music Teacher's Association. I have focused my cello teaching with elementary school, middle school, high school students and adult students as well. All of my cello students have excelled in performing with their school's orchestras. In 2010, three of my long tenured cello students who played in Carlsbad High School Orchestra were invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. Several of my cello students have participated in state wide music competitions and have received superior ratings. I sincerely enjoy teaching young people!
