I am a graduate of Brown University with a B.A. in Economics and a strong background in writing and languages. I love tutoring subjects I mastered through my years in rigorous academic environments and beyond. These subjects include English, Essay Writing, French, Spanish, and Singing.

When it comes to languages, I'm particularly skilled in explaining grammar concepts and customizing lessons for native English speakers. I've spent time living in France and Spain as well as Central & South America, and my multicultural background helps me connect with a wide range of people and stories.

My passion for language extends to academic writing and essays for college applications. I am adept at editing and refining various types of written work, whether it's an analytical paper or a more creative personal statement. I am well-versed in college essay prompts and how to appeal to selective schools such as those in the Ivy League. My tutoring style goes beyond the “what” to the “why?” I help my students understand themselves better through the writing process, fleshing out their most deeply-rooted thoughts and feelings.

I believe hiring a tutor is an investment in not just your grades or your college admissions results, but in yourself. I support my students in refining their language, writing and music skills for years to come. I impart this human-centered dynamic into my tutoring, providing an experience that is both fun and results-oriented. In my spare time, I enjoy singing, playing guitar, spending time in nature, and yoga.

College Counseling

College Counseling

I am a Brown University graduate with a B.A. in Economics. I also attended USC Thornton School of Music for my freshman year. I have expertise in the undergrad and transfer application processes. I also know the process of selecting schools against criteria, as well as creative portfolio based applications.
Songwriting

Songwriting

I started cello lessons at 6 years old, and choir at 9. I spent 8 years in an intensive girls choir where I developed expertise in sight singing and ear training. I also played cello in orchestras and various chamber music groups. I founded and directed an a cappella group and arranged music for it. Nowadays I'm a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and drummer with a passion for music education.
Spanish

Spanish

I acquired C2 level proficiency in Spanish through school, including a full language immersion in Barcelona. I also spent several years living in Mexico, Guatemala and Nicaragua, where I achieved near-native fluency. I specialize in helping native English speakers learn grammar and conjugation, where I have expertise. I have tutored students in Spanish and successfully improved their level or prepared them for placement exams.
Voice (Music)

Voice (Music)

I've been singing since I was a child, and started choir at the age of 9. I took voice lessons for several years, with a focus on classical techniques (nowadays I sing a variety of styles). Then in high school, I founded my own a cappella group where we sang a cappella arrangements of pop songs. Now, I'm a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, composing and performing songs focused on healing.
