Hi! I’m a mathematics tutor with a Master’s degree in Pure Mathematics from California State University, Northridge, and over eight years of teaching and tutoring experience. I also hold a substitute teaching certificate and currently work in LAUSD classrooms. I’ve worked with middle school, high school, and college students in both classroom settings and one-on-one sessions. As a Teaching Associate at CSUN, I taught university-level mathematics courses, and I’ve also supported K–12 students through in-class and after-school tutoring programs. My experience includes helping students who are struggling build a strong foundation, as well as guiding high-achieving students who want to go deeper into mathematics. My graduate research was in pure mathematics, specifically algebraic topology, which strengthened my ability to think abstractly and explain complex ideas in a clear and structured way. Math is truly my second nature—I love it, and I genuinely enjoy helping students understand and succeed in it.
I specialize in algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, statistics, and probability, as well as more advanced topics such as linear algebra, and proof-based mathematics courses.
Students often describe me as friendly, patient, and easy to work with, and I’m known for making complicated concepts feel simple and manageable. When we work together, I focus on your individual learning style and break down ideas step by step using clear explanations, examples, and visual approaches when helpful. I also encourage questions and active participation so that you truly understand the material rather than just memorizing steps.
I make a strong effort to bring out the fun and joy in math, helping you see that it can be interesting, logical, and even enjoyable. Whether you need help catching up, improving your grades, preparing for exams, or tackling higher-level math, my goal is to help you become more confident, independent, and successful in mathematics.
