Hello! I'm Jalen, a high school senior in the San Fernando Valley. I have completed most of the mathematics courses offered at my high school, ranging from algebra to calculus. Throughout my high school career, I've observed that a student's academic success is not solely dependent on their knowledge but also significantly influenced by the quality of their instruction. Consequently, I have proactively provided private tutoring to my high school peers, employing methods that resonate with their individual learning styles. My role is to supplement potentially confusing lessons. Having consistently received positive feedback from my peers, I am now expanding the availability of my tutoring services to a broader audience.
Regarding my qualifications, I completed Algebra 1 in 8th grade through an accelerated mathematics program. In 9th grade, I successfully completed Algebra 2, which included an introduction to trigonometry upon the conclusion of the core Algebra 2 curriculum. My 10th-grade year involved the completion of Geometry, where we efficiently covered the concepts and further explored trigonometry towards the end of the course. During 11th grade, I undertook Precalculus, which provided a balanced review of Algebra and an in-depth study of Trigonometry. This past summer, I successfully completed a Calculus course, receiving commendation from my instructor despite the condensed nature of the program. I am currently enrolled in an advanced Calculus course in 12th grade. I achieved an A grade in all aforementioned mathematics courses, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.
I possess two years of experience in tutoring, working with both elementary and high school students. My specialization lies in one-on-one tutoring sessions.
