Hi, I’m Ari, a California-credentialed math teacher with over seven years of combined classroom and tutoring experience.
I graduated from California State University Channel Islands where I received a Bachelors in Liberal Studies: Teaching and Learning and a Minor in Foundational Math. I then earned my California Teaching Credential which certifies me to teach Multi-Subjects and Foundational Math. Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s in Computer Science which allows me to deepen my subject knowledge and problem solving skills. I have three years of experience as a math teacher where I taught 8th and 9th grade and four years of tutoring experience prior to that.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that mistakes are a natural and important part of learning. Math doesn’t have to be scary. It can be engaging, confidence-building, and even fun. I work to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing a deeper understanding at their own pace.
