Hello, I'm Austin. I am currently a special education teacher for 2nd/3rd grade. I got my bachelors in special education mild/moderate, and have been teaching for a year and a half. However I've been tutoring for the last five years. Also, I'm currently half way through my masters in curriculum and instruction with a total of 15 units completed.

I love education and helping others learn, it's truly a passion to be able to support students and show them they can succeed . I'm great at connecting with students to have them feel comfortable to make mistakes as I remind my own students, "this is school everything is new, you're not meant to know it right away it's okay to be confused, you just need to believe in yourself and not give up always keep trying". I believe a growth mindset towards education is huge for a student to be successful, as it's hard to succeed at something you consistently tell yourself you aren't good at. I specialize in small group instruction and am used to coming up with individualized education plans for your kid to succeed. I truly believe any student can succeed they just need to be taught in their learning style and given tools/strategies to make them successful.
