I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies with a minor in Mass Communication from St. Cloud State University, where I was also in the honors program. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies with a minor in Mass Communication from St. Cloud State University, where I was also in the honors program. After graduating a semester early, I earned a graduate certificate in Writing for Television from UCLA’s Professional Program, an online graduate-level screenwriting program through the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. Afterward, I worked in various entertainment roles, including stagehand work, production assistant roles on commercials and indie films, copywriting, and as a commissioned writer for a chat fiction platform.
I also volunteered at the Twin Cities Film Festival and taught middle school students how to create short films while substitute teaching at schools across Central Minnesota. In 2022, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Producing at DePaul University’s LA program. There, I had the opportunity to learn from industry professionals, including the line producer of Breaking Bad and the independent producer of American Psycho.
Over the last three years, I’ve accumulated extensive teaching experience, including substitute teaching K-8 at LAUSD and tutoring elementary students in ELA and mathematics, both in the classroom and through after-school programs. I have two years of tutoring experience, complementing my teaching background.
