My educational background is rooted in chemistry and polymer science, with formal degrees completed in Germany and a strong emphasis on mathematics, general chemistry, and physics throughout my academic training. Over more than thirty-five years, I have applied these subjects daily in research, engineering, and scientific problem-solving roles, which allows me to teach them not only as abstract concepts but as practical tools. This depth helps students understand not just how to solve problems, but why the solutions work, which is especially important in math- and science-based learning.
I have taught and tutored students in Germany and Brazil in a variety of settings, including classroom instruction, small-group teaching, and one-on-one tutoring. My experience includes working with middle school and high school students who needed support with foundational math, chemistry, or physics, as well as college students preparing for exams, lab work, or advanced coursework. I have worked with learners of different ages and ability levels, adapting explanations and pacing to match each student’s needs and learning style, whether the goal was improving grades, building confidence, or preparing for standardized or college-level exams.
As a tutor, I place strong emphasis on clarity, structure, and encouragement. Parents often appreciate that I focus on building a student’s confidence alongside their academic skills, helping them overcome anxiety around math and science. I break complex topics into manageable steps, use real-world examples to make abstract ideas more relatable, and ensure students truly understand each concept before moving on. My goal is to help students become independent, confident learners who feel supported and capable in math, chemistry, and physics.
