I graduated from University of California San Diego with a degree in Human Biology before moving to London to earn first my MSc Applied Public Health and now my graduate medical degree. Throughout my studies, I have continued to reach out to and help students with a variety of subjects, and have come to specialize in dissertation development and editing.

Before entering the world of higher education, I graduated from high school as a lifetime member of the California Scholars Federation, as an AP Scholar with Distinction, as a National AP Scholar, and as an IB Diploma recipient. I earned a 35 on my ACT Exam.

My past tutoring experience has included young children learning English and math, and adolescents and adults in most subjects including English, math, social sciences, and even test prep and job preparedness. I previously worked with international exchange students at UCSD, helping to improve their language abilities and coaching them on navigating them through the American system. More, I organized a German language table to optimize the language learning skills of our German language students at the University. During my time with the Moores' Cancer Center, I prepared an entire class of students for university and job applications, guiding them through lessons including grammar, personal statements, and resumes. As a Public Health student, I worked with under-serviced populations and taught groups of people from a variety of backgrounds about the key points of cardiovascular health.

Through my various areas of teaching widely diverse students, I learned how to find the most effective learning style for each individual. I do my best to ensure that each person I work with received the help that he or she needed rather than a typical cookie cutter lessons. I found that this has helped them learn well in ways that their teachers didn't have time to give them.

American History

I have studied and tutored US history throughout my high school and undergraduate degree. I have continued to tutor students in the topic although my own study is now less formal. I try to get my students to understand the drivers behind and connections between different points of history so they can better understand the subject. Most of my students find that memorizing dates is easier when they understand why and how something happened instead of just what happened.
