I am an SAT tutor with a 1500 SAT score, strong academic credentials, and firsthand experience with the strategies needed to succeed on standardized tests. My academic achievements include recognition as a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, a College Board National Recognition Program Awardee, an AP Scholar with Distinction, and an AP Scholar with Honor. I have also received school-based honors such as the School SAT Excellence Award, Highest SAT Score Recognition in my class, Excellence in Standardized Testing, Academic Excellence in Mathematics, Academic Excellence in English Language Arts, the Mathematics Department Award, the English Department Award, Outstanding Achievement in AP Statistics, Outstanding Achievement in AP Calculus, and Outstanding Achievement in Writing and Rhetoric. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in both the math and verbal sections of the SAT.
In addition to my academic background, I have real tutoring and teaching experience. I have worked as a math teaching assistant, helping students strengthen their skills in algebra, geometry, problem-solving, and classwork, and I have also tutored students through SAT prep. Because I recently went through the SAT process myself, I understand how students can improve not only through content review, but also through better timing, strategy, confidence, and mistake analysis. I work well with high school students because I can explain difficult concepts in a clear, relatable way.
My tutoring style is personalized, structured, and results-focused. I begin by identifying where a student is losing points, whether that is from content gaps, timing issues, careless mistakes, or uncertainty with specific question types. From there, I create targeted practice plans, walk through problems step by step, and teach strategies students can actually use on test day. My goal is to help each student become a more confident, efficient, and prepared test-taker while making SAT prep feel less overwhelming.
