Hi, I'm Alex! I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Nutritional Sciences. This upcoming fall, I will attend Loma Linda School of Medicine. I’m looking to aid others in their journey to higher education! College and medical school applications can be confusing, but with the proper guidance, the process can become significantly easier.
I was accepted to all the UCs, including a Regents’ Scholarship at UCSD. More recently, one of my students got accepted into a few UCs, including UC Berkeley! For the past four years, I’ve mentored high school students, helping them understand how to prepare for applications and writing essays. Most of them are from California, so I’m more familiar with the UC Application, but I’m more than happy to help with the Common App. I always ensure that my students understand the entire process, as well as carefully comb through the essays to ensure authenticity and quality.
Having gone through medical school applications, I've experienced the immense difficulty and stress that come with applying; preparing your primary, writing secondaries, and practicing interviews are challenging. During my application cycle, I received 5 interviews and 3 acceptances (at the moment). So whether it be advice, essay modifications, mock interviews, or guidance through the application process as a whole, I’m more than willing to help. If you are currently a pre-med student, I am also available for pre-med advising!
I look forward to working with students and helping you understand college/medical school applications (or the pre-med experience). It can be difficult to learn at first, but I am confident that with the right help and planning, you can achieve great things! I’m relatively flexible when it comes to scheduling. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions! Don't be afraid to reach out!
