I am a biotechnologist who worked in bioinformatics research and gave support to the DNA sequencing of the mitochondrial of tomato. Most of the time I used the Python programming language, together with different tools like databases (relations and non-relational), web servers, cloud technologies like AWS, GCP, and more.

I've been using Linux since late '90, and in 2002 I released DNALinux, a Slack based Linux distro for bioinformatics. Used Linux for web servers (Apache mostly) and as a workstation for running bioinformatics program. Since 2010 been using cloud computing mostly in AWS (I am a AWS Certified Solutions Architect.), but also in Google Cloud. One of the main activities in AWS is making docker images and AWS Batch scripts, both activities requires extensive Linux knowledge.

I am the author of the book Python for Bioinformatics (XXXXXXXXXXX.XXX.XXXX and a Python developer from 2002. I gave Python conferences at SCIPY and PYBAY. I worked in several companies in like Google, PLOS and Autodesk with several technologies related with Python (like Selenium, Django, Flask and others).

Made the first Linux distribution for Bioinformatics, DNALinux.com. This includes porting software to run in Linux. Passed the AWS certified solutions architect associate, most AWS services are Linux based and are managed from a Linux terminal. Author of the book Python for Bioinformatics, the first edition includes a custom Linux version with software ready to run.
