Hello potential student, my name is Jennifer. I have taught others in many different dynamics throughout my life voluntarily and later as a career. I have found over the years that students learn best when they set goals and can have the freedom to adapt their learning needs with their teacher as they progress. I have a bachelor's in education and a TESOL certificate. Over the past 3 years I have taught Chinese students remotely online. I have successfully helped these students to speak, read, write and understand the various rules that exist in the English language. I have homeschooled my own 4 children using Canadian aligned curriculum grades 2 through 12. An area of interest for me is in mathematics, this has always been a subject I am passionate about teaching. What are your learning goals? I'm eager to help you reach them!
I have always excelled in Math, gaining my teacher's attention in school and moved ahead a grade because of this strength. I am able to teach any mathematics area within grade 1-12.
I know and understand the triumphs and frustrations that come with second language learning as I have experienced them firsthand when learning Spanish and now Thai. I have years of experience helping students gain the ESL skills they need to succeed.
