Great French Teacher

My daughter started French in 5th grade at a new school this fall for the first time. All other children in her class have been learning French since Kindergarten. Vanessa started working twice a week with my child during Summer so she could have some comfort level with the language at the start of the school year. She even took time to discuss the curriculum with the French teacher at the school to prepare my daughter for the start same. We are now at once a week class schedule. Vanessa is very patient and open. She has really made it possible for my daughter to confidently participate in her French class at school. She is always on time and has a very positive attitude. Amazing tutor!!

Because I'm an English as second language student, I have a lot of problems with writing my English class assignments. I would probably fail my English class last semester without Vanessa's help. Because of her help, now, my papers can get B or better, which is not an easy thing for an international student. Vanessa is really patient and nice. She goes through my paper sentence by sentence and points out all my errors in grammar and usage. And when the sentences i write are not clear or effective, she will patiently help me to rewrite them in other ways. Vanessa is a great tutor, and I want to recommend her to everyone who needs an English tutor.

Great tutor

My son learned almost nothing in his French I class last year. Vanessa has been working diligently with him this summer to get him up to speed. He is motivated by Vanessa's tutoring and is working hard on his assignments. He still needs a lot of help to get him through French 2 and I'm glad I've got Vanessa to instruct him. She always sends an email after each lesson explaining what was covered. She responds promptly to my email. She was understanding that one time I forgot to be home for a lesson. She is always prompt for lessons. I highly recommend her for French tutoring.

I don't know what my son would have done without Vanessa's help. After a semester of first year French, my son was failing. He was completely discouraged and had become disengaged with the whole process of trying to learn another language. I didn't think it possible, but the situation was moving from bad to worse in a matter of days. I found Vanessa in mid-January and I happily report that since the day she came, Jeremy has not had a test grade under a B! Great Tutor!

Vanessa is a gifted teacher. My daughter went from doing okay and hating French, to doing very well and loving it. One on one is an ideal way to learn to speak a foreign language. My daughter wasn't getting nearly enough feedback on her French speaking in her school classroom. Vanessa has my daughter speaking out loud throughout the lesson, and corrects her pronunciation so she learns the right way to say the words as she is learning them. She works with my daughter first on her school homework, and then once that is finished, she goes onto teaching her new things. She often has her read a selection in French, and she also teaches about French culture and history. Vanessa is very reliable. She always shows up when she says she will and right on time. She is also flexible for the times when my daughter has a conflict. We are also able to add sessions for the times when my daughter needs extra help. She came every day for the week before finals. My daughter was well prepared for her final, and didn't have the stress worrying about her French final. It has been well worth the expense of having a tutor for my daughter in French. My daughter is learning so much more than she was learning just at school, she is enjoying it and not stressed about French class anymore.
