My tutoring approach is patient, supportive, and focused on helping students truly understand the material rather than simply memorize steps. In Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, I break problems down into manageable pieces, identify gaps in foundational skills, and explain the reasoning behind each step. In science, I connect difficult concepts to simpler ideas and examples so students can build a stronger understanding. For SAT preparation, I help students recognize question patterns, learn efficient strategies, review mistakes, manage their time, and target the specific areas where they can improve the most.
I also tutor English and writing, including AP English Language, AP English Literature, academic essays, and college application essays. I can help students with brainstorming, thesis development, textual analysis, organization, grammar, clarity, and revision. My goal is for students to leave our sessions not only with stronger work, but also with the skills and confidence to approach future assignments and problems independently.
