Hi, I’m Annie! I’m a recent Cathedral Catholic High School honors graduate and a current University of California, Berkeley student double majoring in Global Studies and Music. I graduated high school with a 4.0 unweighted GPA and 4.62 weighted GPA, and I’m passionate about using music, storytelling, and education to build community across cultures.
As a tutor, I believe that understanding the “why” behind a concept is just as important as knowing how to solve a problem. Throughout my own education, I’ve seen how much of a difference it makes when a teacher encourages intellectual curiosity and critical thinking. My goal is to bring that same approach to my students by making lessons engaging, encouraging questions, and adapting explanations to each student’s learning style.
I have 3+ years of experience tutoring elementary students in Math and English through programs including Study Buddy and Network Tutoring. I also earned a 780/800 on the Math portion of the SAT in June 2025 and a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam in May 2026.
Outside of our regular lessons, I can provide weekly practice materials that reinforce what we cover and use subsequent sessions to review problems students found challenging. I want my students not only to improve their grades, but to become more confident and independent learners.
Feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a lesson—I’d love to work with you!
