UC Berkeley Algebra and Biology Tutor

Aryahi S.

I am a rising sophomore at UC Berkeley studying Molecular Environmental Biology. I have a strong academic foundation in both mathematics and biology, earning scores of 5 on AP Biology, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC, as well as a 790 on the SAT Math section. At Berkeley, I have continued my studies in science and mathematics and earned an A in college calculus.

In addition to my academic background, I have experience helping students learn in a variety of settings. Through PRAGNYA, a nonprofit organization supporting neurodiverse youth, I tutored and worked alongside children with autism while helping create a supportive learning environment. I have also mentored youth activists nationwide through the Youth Activism Project, where I guided students as they developed leadership and advocacy skills. Throughout high school and college, I have regularly helped classmates and peers understand challenging concepts in math and science.

As a tutor, I focus on building understanding rather than memorization. I enjoy breaking difficult concepts into smaller, manageable steps and adapting explanations to each student's learning style. My goal is to help students not only improve their grades, but also gain confidence in their ability to solve problems independently. I strive to create a patient, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn.
