Hi! I’m Rachel, and I love helping students of all ages discover that learning can be fun, engaging, and confidence-boosting. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from NYU with a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies, and I’ve spent over four years tutoring students from elementary through high school. During that time, I’ve helped kids tackle reading, writing, math, science, and history — whether it’s practicing phonics with a kindergartener, helping a middle schooler organize their homework, or guiding a high schooler through essays and advanced concepts.

My approach is simple: there’s no such thing as a wrong answer, mistakes are part of the journey, and learning is always more effective when it’s enjoyable. I tailor every lesson to each student’s unique strengths and challenges, creating a space where they feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and celebrating progress. I love mixing in games, interactive exercises, and real-world examples to make concepts click, and I focus on helping students build confidence as much as skills.

In my tutoring sessions, students become active participants in their learning. I provide guidance, feedback, and encouragement while fostering independence and curiosity. Whether it’s reading together, working through a tricky math problem, writing a story, or exploring history, my goal is to make learning a positive experience that students look forward to. Above all, I want every student to feel proud of their growth, excited to try new things, and confident that they can tackle any challenge that comes their way.
