Hi I'm Charlie, a Chemical Engineering student at UC Berkeley (Class of 2026) with a strong background in mathematics, chemistry, physics, and engineering problem solving. I have experience applying these subjects in real-world settings through internships in water and environmental engineering as well as advanced coursework in transport phenomena, thermodynamics, and reactor design. I enjoy helping students build intuition rather than memorizing formulas, and I focus on clear step-by-step explanations that strengthen both conceptual understanding and problem-solving speed. My goal as a tutor is to help students gain confidence, improve grades, and develop study strategies that will support them throughout their academic careers.

I also bring leadership and mentoring experience through my academic organizations and research teams, where I regularly guide peers through complex technical material and collaborative projects. Having worked with students at different skill levels, I understand that each learner approaches problem solving differently, so I tailor sessions to match individual learning styles, whether that means visual explanations, practice-driven sessions, or structured review plans before exams. Because I am actively completing advanced engineering coursework myself, I stay closely connected to the challenges students currently face and can share practical strategies for managing heavy course loads, preparing efficiently for tests, and approaching difficult assignments with confidence.
